Fractional Finance Director for ambitious SMEs
Get the clarity to see what’s ahead, and make confident decisions about growth, profitability and cash flow.
Bookkeeping and year-end accounts are the basic requirements for every business. What’s missing is the insight in between, the monthly clarity on cash, profit and what’s coming next.
FDPack fills that gap, right at the point where growing complexity has you thinking about hiring a Finance Director. Before you do, talk to us. We combine hands-on fractional Finance Director expertise with our own forecasting software, so you always know where your business stands and where it’s heading, without the cost of a full-time hire.
See what’s coming. Decide with confidence.
Imagine knowing, right now, what the next three months of trading looks like, and what your bank balance will be by year-end. Whether your margins are on track. What your corporation tax will be this year. How much debt you’ll have paid off.
That’s where we come in. FDPack gives you a clear, forward view of your Cash Flow, Profit and Balance Sheet, always current, always ready when you need to decide.
No more waiting for month-end to find out where you stand. No more guessing what a big decision will do to your cash. Just a clear picture of what’s ahead, so you can stay in control and act with confidence.

A simple way to view, analyse and share your financial statements
FDPack combines actuals, budgets, and forecasts into a single database so that you can move seamlessly along a timeline from past performance to future plans. You can analyse your P&L, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet in any comparative combination and for any timeframe. Share tailored views across your business to give every recipient the insight they need and in the format that makes sense to them.
Forecasts done properly
A forecast is only useful if you can trust it. Ours are built the same way your actuals are, transaction by transaction, not rough estimates bolted on at the end. And because your Cash Flow, Profit and Balance Sheet are fully integrated, a change in one flows straight through the others automatically.

Built by a Finance Director who’s lived it
Spencer Smith founded FDPack 15 years ago, one of the UK’s first virtual Finance Director services, after seeing too many SME owners make big calls without a clear view of what was coming next.
He’d built, bought and advised businesses himself, so he’d seen the gap between bookkeeping and the boardroom first hand. Inspired by Lotus Cars founder Colin Chapman’s principle, “simplify, then add lightness,” he built FDPack to strip out the noise and keep only what actually helps you decide.

How Many Hours a Week Are You Wasting on “Fixing” Financial Admin?
Most business owners know what they pay for accounting. Few know what they pay for fixing accounting. Not the fee. The effort. The same questions being answered over and over again. Why Rising Supplier Costs Often Cause Bigger Problems Than Businesses Expect
Most business owners expect rising supplier costs to reduce margins. What they often miss is everything that happens next. The issue is rarely the cost increase itself. The issue is understanding how that increase moves through the business before it appears in the monthly accounts. By the time the impact shows up clearly in the…
How Can Project-Based Businesses Grow Without Losing Control Of Cash?
Growth creates a unique challenge for project-based businesses. The next project often arrives before the previous one has been paid for. That sounds manageable when projects are small. As projects become larger, the gap becomes more important. The challenge is not winning the next project. The challenge is understanding what those projects require before commitments…
